Driving Instruction & Education

Our monthly New Driver Education course is a 16 hr. State certified course and consists of 8 hrs of classroom instruction and 8 hrs of one-to-one, in car training. This is designed for someone who has never had their license before. Students participate in the classroom instruction on a Saturday. Classroom instruction can be completed before or after they get their learner’s permit. The 8 hours of in the car or behind the wheel training is scheduled and completed prior to their road skills exam. Pricing includes a road exam.

Certificates Earned: AAA New Driver Completion Certificate and Alaska Driver’s License

We offer complimentary pick up from Student’s School, Work or Home in the City of Kenai.

Classroom instruction in a group setting, on-on-one driving lessons by appointment. Valid Alaska learner’s permit required for driving lessons. Pick-up and drop-off for driving lessons in the City of Kenai when available.

State of Alaska requires drivers under 18 hold their permit for 6 months and be 16 years prior to taking the road skills exam.

All prices do not include sales tax. 

Discount programs do not apply to New Driver Courses or Road Exams.

All appointments have a 48 hour cancellation/rescheduling policy. Cancellations/reschedules less than 48 hours prior to training or exams will not be refunded or applied to future appointments.

All new driver driving courses must be paid in full at the time of scheduling. Students wishing to withdraw from a new driver course must give 2 weeks notice. Rescheduling is at the discretion of KPDI. Driving lessons may be cancelled/rescheduled once due to unforeseen circumstances. Additional cancellations or rescheduled driving lessons may result in additional fees.
